Plant: 24in (61.0cm) diameter; 10in (25.4cm) high; rhizomatous; fast growth rate

Leaf: 5.5in (14.0cm) long; 2in (5.1cm) wide; 5 vein pairs; yellow slightly rippled margins; dull on top; slightly shiny underneath; lance with tapered base; lightly folded and wavy overall.

Scape: 20 to 24in (50.8 to 61.0cm) high; yellow with red dots at the base

Scape Bracts:

Flower: 2in (5.1cm) long; deep purple, striped, downward hanging; tubular; Brooklyn Park, MN; 8/15 - 8/30 - 9/5

Seed:

Clump History: original seedling; 6 years old; Brooklyn Park, MN

Notable Characteristics: Grows well in poor soils, rhizomatous. Bright yellow leaves on red-speckled petioles with deep purple flowers; colors of Mardi Gras.
